After Alnwick, we continued to another unforgettable location: Bamburgh Castle.
Bamburgh is one of the most breathtaking places in the North East. The castle stands proudly overlooking the coastline and offers spectacular views of the sea. The family loved the fresh coastal air and the peaceful atmosphere, and it quickly became one of their favourite parts of the day.
This stop gave them a chance to experience not only history, but also the natural beauty of the North East coastline — something many visitors do not expect when they first arrive in England.

Following our coastal visit, we travelled south towards the County of Durham, another area filled with history, culture, and iconic landmarks. Durham is well known for its beautiful architecture and traditional English character.
Driving through Durham added another dimension to the tour — showing the family a different side of the North East, from coastal castles to historic inland cities.
Exploring Newcastle City Centre
